Where do I begin?

Hello! I decided to start a blog b/c my friend has one and it is a great way of finding out what she is doing from day to day!

Well, let's see, where do I begin?

I have started a program at Siena Heights Universtiy (located in Adrian, MI...southeast MI, very close to the Ohio boarder) this May. It is an Intensive Certification Program to get my MS/HS teacher certification. I will be teaching English! It is a year program and I'm so excited to finally start and before I know it be done with my certification! And they don't call it intense for nothing! Throughout the summer I have class one Saturday a month (not bad), but it is from 9am-6pm. Long day with lots of information!

Come Fall, I will start observing a classroom twice a week (full days) and then once the winter rolls around, I will do my student teaching! (ahahah) I'm doing all this at Onsted Middle School, a very small town about 20 mintues drive northwest of Adrian, MI. And I will be in an 8th grade English class. Lots of changes and adjustments are ahead of me!

Come mid August or so, I will be leaving my job at the Department of Education and will be permantely moving down to Adrian. I am currently living with my sister and her husband and two kids! It is great coming home every night to little ones, excited to see me and I'm excited that I can grow a special bond with my almost 2 year old niece, Madison! And my favorite roommate, Matthew is 5 and 1/2! (that 1/2 is VERY IMPORTANT...since they had to celebrate it!) :)

I think that is about it for now! More to come! I hope to document my experience at Onsted come the fall. Right now, I just have tons of reading and homework to do and I have been finding it very interesting and a lot of fun!

Here are some pictures...

My sister's dog had puppies...this was last Monday! Yellow and Black Labs! SO CUTE!

Angelic Madison! She loved the flowers! (This was taken with my camera phone!)

Well that is all for now, since I can't find anymore at the moment!
